Part 1:
I call my project bent water because of its illuminating long exposure effects in the image. The materials I used to capture this cool view was a glass filled with water, my phone flashlight, and a thin piece of green blue and purple plastic. I used long exposure techniques to get that bending effect. The Elements i included were color, value, texture and form. Principles that I used were unity, contrast, emphasis, and movement.
Part 2:
Big Ideas/Goals/Audience
-my big idea was to make an abstract light refractive that appeals to all ages
What is your artwork about? Why did you feel this theme is important?
-it is about exploring the creativity you can do with a camera, this is important because you can make the most basic things look interesting.
Who is your target audience? Why did you target this audience?
-all ages, so it doesn't discriminate anyone
How are you trying to reach this audience?
by creating an abstract environment that anyone can enjoy
What was your initial inspiration?
-the long exposure pictures we took in photo 1 combined with light refraction
What are you exploring and/ or challenging by doing this piece?
-the ways that you can make water glasses look abstract
what do you hope they learn or experience from your art?
-you don't have to have a plan on what you're taking a picture of, experiment.
Part 3:
Conclusion
-i enjoyed working with this piece and it turned out better than I expected.Do I see any patterns in my work habits?
-I tend to do a lot of experiments until I get the right image. How do my work habits affect my work overall?
-they make really interesting images that make you think about it.
What are my thoughts on how my artwork turned out?
-I was really impressed and happy that it turned out.
What needs improvement?
-image quality
What parts of my artwork am I really happy with?
-how the long exposure made the whirling bendy effect.
What should I do next in my art?
-nothing too different
What’s my plan going forward for new works?-putting effort and time into them
